Great breakfast! Northwoods Sampler was large with thick bacon, generous ham slice, sausage, rye toast, etc. Enough for two.

We stopped at Jack's on our motorcycle trip. Awesome Breakfast. Best Cinnamon rolls ever. Huge and fresh out of oven. Worth a road trip. And only $3.40.

Just went to Jack's for the first time. Had the Fisherman's Trio- walleye, whitefish, and perch on the same platter. Delicious food, friendly staff. Everyone knows everyone! I would definitely come again. Don't judge the book by its cover. Take a trip to Rapid River and visit this spot. P. S. The back room is a little cozier with a big stone fireplace. I heard that the pies are fantastic, but I didn't have any room to spare!

Be sure to check out the back room. I find the dark wood, huge (non operating) stone fireplace, and subdued lighting very relaxing. The patty melt served on black bread and beer battered cod are two favorites. With Sunday dinner, a slice of pie is included. TIP - if it's busy, reserve your favorite flavor of pie up front when you order to avoid disappointment.

We stopped at Jack's as the only other restaurant in Rapid River was pizza (we weren't in a pizza mood) and the next town was 20 miles down the road. We were however, quite hungry. We were looking to have our first ever pasties. Everywhere there were pasties. Except here. But we had fun with our server about that. I love a server with a great personality and sense of humor. After looking over both their regular menu and the Sunday menu, I decided on the whitefish plate from the Sunday specials menu, and my husband selected the polish sausage from the daily menu. Fantastic meals! We could have shared mine, as it came with three sides and dessert. Plenty for two! I usually avoid apple pie, as it's so common, but all of their pies are homemade, and after seeing this mouthwatering sizeable portion delivered to the table next door, my husband and I shared a slice. Yum!! Would definitely dine here again.

Great home cooking and desserts! You can't go wrong at Jack's! I think this restaurant has been in the Miller family since 1935. I worked there from 1978-1983 and have many fond memories of Jack's.

Reuban sandwich came with no dressing on it. That's just the way they serve it. After adding it on, the sandwich was fine. We also had the chicken cordon bleu, which was moist and tender. Overall good quality home cooked food. Nothing fancy, just a nice meal. Service was slow and mediocre though with not a lot of diners ins the restaurant.

My fiance and I stopped by here for lunch and it was very good classic diner food! Reasonably priced, too, which makes me even more happy. I just wish we had room for dessert because almost every table ordered a slice of pie! They make deep-fried cheese curds and homemade potato chips but I didn't try b/c I only ordered the chicken salad and split pea soup for lunch. My fiance had the bratwurst burger and fries and he said they were delicious. Menu had a lot of homestyle comfort food that I wish I could have explored!

Jack's! Classic Americana greasy spoon in my dad's hometown. Good omlettes, burgers, etc. Say hi to the locals!
